Crop, fit or stretch?
- Fill and crop: fills the size, cuts the edges. Best for social posts.
- Fit inside: no cropping, the image may be a little smaller.
- Fit with background: exact size with a colour around it.
Best size for websites
Most blog and product images look sharp at 1200 to 1600 pixels wide. Bigger only makes your page slower.
Need a smaller file too?
After resizing, use the Smart Image Compressor to get under 100 KB for forms and email.
Questions people ask
Can I resize many images at once?
Yes. Add up to 100 images, set the size once, and every image is resized. Download them all in one ZIP.
Will my photo be stretched?
Not unless you choose Stretch. Fill and crop keeps the shape and trims the edges. Fit inside keeps the whole picture.
How do I make a passport size photo?
Tap the Passport photo ready size. It makes a 35 by 45 mm photo at print quality (413 by 531 pixels). Use a plain background photo for best results.
Does resizing make the file smaller?
Making the image smaller in pixels usually makes the file much smaller too. For an exact file size like under 100 KB, use our image compressor after resizing.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Resizing happens inside your browser and your photos never leave your device.
