  • Choose quality when you want full control.

Why images get so much smaller

Phone photos are saved with far more detail than a screen can show, plus hidden data like the camera and location. We keep what your eyes can see and drop the rest, including the location data.

Faster website, better Google ranking

Smaller images make pages load faster, and Google ranks fast pages higher. For websites, use WebP and a max size of 1920 or 1280.

Questions people ask

Are my images uploaded?

No. Every image is compressed inside your own browser and never sent to our server. Hidden location data from phone photos is also removed.

How do I make a photo under 100 KB or 50 KB?

Choose "Target size", type the size in KB (or tap 50 KB or 100 KB), and the tool finds the best quality that fits. If needed, it also makes the image a little smaller in pixels.

Will my image look worse?

In Smart mode the difference is very hard to see. Use the before and after slider to check any image before you download it.

Which format gives the smallest file?

WebP is usually 25 to 35 percent smaller than JPG at the same quality, and works on all modern websites. For sharing anywhere, JPG is the safest choice.

Can I compress many images at once?

Yes, up to 100 images at a time, each up to 50 MB. Download them all together as a ZIP.

Why did one image say "Already small"?

Some images are already well compressed. If our version would be bigger, we keep your original so you never get a larger file.

Is your website slow?

Heavy images are the number one reason. We speed up WordPress and business websites so they load fast and rank better on Google.
