What works best?

Logos, icons, text, signatures and flat drawings with clear edges and few colours. Photos can be traced too, but they turn into a painted look.

For cutting machines and print

Use "Black and white" for Cricut, laser cutting, stamps and embroidery. You get clean single colour shapes.

Tip for sharper results

Start from the biggest, cleanest image you have. Lower the colours if the result looks noisy, raise the detail if small parts go missing.

Questions people ask

Is this a real vector?

Yes. "Trace to vector" turns your image into real shapes (paths), so it stays sharp at any size and can be edited in Illustrator, Figma or Inkscape.

Why does my photo look painted?

Vectors are made of flat colour shapes, so photos turn into a painted look. Tracing works best for logos, icons, text and drawings.

What does "Keep pixels exactly" do?

It puts your image inside an SVG file without changing it. The file is an SVG, but it is still made of pixels and will blur if you make it bigger.

Can I use it for Cricut or laser cutting?

Yes. Choose "Black and white" to get clean single colour shapes for cutting machines, stamps and engraving.
